Springtime

Rain pelting down on the roof this morning told us we were going to have an entirely NORMAL spring day in the Pacific Northwest...not like the beautiful, sunny skies we experienced yesterday! Oh well, that is what makes everything look so beautiful around here for most of the year. The rain stopped falling for a bit this afternoon/evening and my husband and I took a walk around our yard...these were the sites that greeted us.

Oxide daisies, bunnies, rain drops on leaves that shine like diamonds, and I'm not exactly sure what the purple flower is...but we agree it looks like a wild iris of some sort...anyone know for sure?
