Mixed weather

The weather today was unusual. It was warm and muggy and appeared to switch frequently between heavy downpours with thunder and lightning and clear blue skies. It was supremely frustrating because we all wanted to go outside, but were nervous that the storms would return. Instead, we went out for lunch and stayed close to home for the rest of the day.

This shot is a microcosm of the day. You can see the unsettled skies framed by the trees. The blip was taken from the front of my house and was captured during a brief moment of down time after the little TMGs went to bed. Ironically, the weather is supposed to improve tomorrow just in time for me to go back to work!
