Small Purple Flower

We had sooooo much rain today and last night we are lucky this isn't a blip of my house afloat.

This is a flower that lives in a planter box in the backyard. I wish I could tell you what it is but I have no idea. You see, when we were away at Disney World (those blips start here), my Mother-In-Law stayed at our house with our dog Casey and she was nice enough to take care of quite a few plantings around the yard. This lovely flower is part of her contribution to our landscape this summer.
