Launching day

Saffwy got her bottom wet today, and had a taste of bubbly too!
Went off to Alton Water near Shotley for a maiden voyage. Nice quiet mostly sunny afternoon and after launching we gently sailed across the lake eating our picnic and finishing the champers. All very nice, wind freshened a tad later so we got the creases out of the sails.
No problems at all, it worked as it should and with practice I am sure we can get her rigged in less tme in future.
The governor insisted I poured the liquor while she took the picture, not sure if the Park Wardens realised we were pouring wine into their reservoir!
