Timeless
Or, without all the cars it would be. Had an errand to do in town today, so left the car at the west end and chose to walk to my destination via the New Town. As it was Sunday morning, all was quiet and there was no traffic on the roads. I'd forgotten how majestic this part of Edinburgh is and and it was magic being able to walk through the streets in peace and uninterrupted by the sounds of cars on cobbles. I felt very proud of our city; it was beautiful, even in the drizzle.
Spent the afternoon with a pal at the modern art gallery for a lot of tea, cake and chat, then on for an audience with her Ladyship to collect some jam that our eco friend had left me a while back - thank you both.
