Purple heart

A hot sultry day that ended with the inevitable - a torrential downpour. It felt quite tropical compared to the usual Scottish drizzle. This flower must have felt the full force of the rain as it was torn from its branch. I found it floating in the overflowing gutter, took it home and dried it off. It's now sitting in this ice-cream bowl with a little water. I hope it survives till morning.
