Hop It

This wee chap (and I really do mean 'wee', he could have fitted in the palm of my hand) came to the back of the cottage to see us off home. A fairly relaxed (and lengthy due to the massive amount of traffic on the roads, and a stop for some bottles of beer at the Lade Inn at Kilmahog with the most talkative (but nice) shop and hotel owner you could ever imagine). Oh, and a lacklustre lunch at the Kinlochleven Seafood Bar.

Ah well. Back home we went out to see the chooks before the heavens opened - just before which I'd asked Mel what's that noise? Before realising we were back to a background city hum. Beer and pizza have aided the transition back to civilisation.

And if you've missed the Skye backblips, that's cos they've only just gone on, starting a week ago today (the 29th of May), though perhaps the most important was on the 31st, when Mel and I just happened to get engaged...

The others include stunning views, jumping basking sharks (seriously), otters and white-tailed eagles. It's been yet another (7th year in a row) wonderful trip to Skye, and we're already wondering whether we go back in September instead of heading off to the continent...
