Bumble Bee

Bumble Bee on a "Splish Splash" Hardy Geranium. Two of my favourite things around the garden, hardy geraniums are always good value, as you always get a really good display for very little effort. Geraniums always attract bees of all types and at the moment there seems to be an abundance of Bumble Bees. Unfortunately there are not so many Honey Bees in the garden these days, it seems that, as in previous years many colonies have not survived the winter.

I'd like to get a decent capture of a bee on the wing but haven't managed it yet, several "near misses" but nothing I'd feel happy in posting at the moment. Another one for the "list", which is growing rapidly!
