Arcadia Beach

There are three times of day that are best for photography in Oregon: Sunrise, Sunset, and Fog. The middle of the day has too much contrast for artsy shots, even macro, though there are exceptions. Late morning and early afternoon are good for stock-type shots as long as there aren't too many dark shadows.

We had several visitors while I shot the sunset, 3 - 5 gulls and some plovers. When the gulls realized we weren't going to feed them, they left. Moochers.

A person can go to the same location a hundred times and get a hundred different photos. It's a great place.
