Wildflowers again!
Lack of new camera knowledge + 100% saturation = pretty!
I was messing with the shutter priority setting on my (relatively) new D90, and it quickly became apparent that I have no idea how to use this thing! Summer project!!
This very dark, highly saturated beauty is an Indian Paintbrush I stumbled on along a hike in Mill Creek Canyon. What an amazing place. Salt Lake City runs parallel to the Wasatch Mountain Range, which is often bisected by these steep, narrow, breath-taking canyons, full of flowers, birds, and epic views. I've been lingering at the Paintbrushes when I find them because their red color attracts hummingbirds, of which the Wasatch hosts 4. Three of them are on my target list--I will find them!
