Socks

Tony "Socks" Byrne was a Drogheda Olympian who won the Bronze Medal for Ireland in the 1956 Melbourne Games.
This fine bronze statue was created by Laury Dizengremel and it was erected in it's current location outside Scotch Hall Shopping Centre in 2006.

In other news: I'm packing up tonight and checking out tomorrow morning for a three day break at home. Really looking forward to it!
