Puddleduck
Went to London today for an appointment. I lived in London for close on 20 years and have masses of affection for the place, but now, almost immediately upon arrival, I want to leave. It doesn't help that we were in the hellish triangle of Shepherd's Bush - an already congested area, rife with roadworks, cars going through red lights on pedestrian crossings, cyclists dodging in and out around buses, and just so much congestion!
I feel sorry for my old town. It does look unloved and hacked up. Amazing that there are still continuous roadworks everywhere you look.
This puddle was a small slice of tranquility briefly grabbed before entering the fray.
Home now - phew.
