Out on the field
Not the most exciting day ever. Went to the docs yesterday and unexpectedly got signed off work due the allergic reation which is affecting my face. Never been signed off so was a tad non plussed. Spent the day chilling and applying lotions and potions and trying not to doze off as te piriton kicked in!
However in the evening I decided to shift my carcass and get out on a walk. Some fresh air to blow away the cobwebs. Surprise, surprise after a dull and at times wet day the sun managed to push through in the evening, once again transforming the landscape. The farmer obviously thought it was an opportunity too good to miss as well.
I had noticed during the weekend that these fields were beginning to sprout but the farmer must have thought they needed a little additional help and so was out applying fertilizer. Not sure yet exactly what it is that is growing there as the seedlings are too small to identify. Given the amount of time and effort that has been spent on these two fields you would expect it to be something high value in order to be economical. Just can't think of anything that would being that amount of return.
Bet it turns out to be spuds and they are EU subsidised :-)
