Purple Sock!

So, I started knitting my first ever pair of socks a couple of days ago. They took several attempts to get going but I managed to finish the first one this morning. I am very pleased. Susan, however, thinks that it looks like an "old lady footie" and has teased me rather mercilessly about it. I think she will eat her words when winter comes and my toes are toasty warm.
