What a difference a few seconds can make

Since arriving in San Francisco in late January, the weather has been rather unpredictable. For the first week, it seemed to rain non-stop. From all I was hearing at the time, it was not typical that there was so much rain, even in winter, the rainy season.

Today, however, while it was sunny a good portion of the day, it clouded up and looked like rain again. What we got, however, was a bit of a pummeling of hail for several minutes. Then... bright, beautiful sunshine.
