And his ship, in a bottle. Got the train back from Kent today and walked through Trafalgar Square from Charing Cross, hoping to catch a glimpse of this, the latest Fourth Plinth commission. It's a scale model of Nelson's ship inside a giant glass bottle, and the sail have been decorated using traditional African techniques, the artist being of Afro-Carribean descent. It is at once a questioning and celebration of empire and looks very beautiful sitting atop the plinth.
