La Tremblade

La Tremblade is in Charente Maritime, France, not far from the lovely city of Royan. Just along the coast is Marennes, famous for the very top quality oysters and near to where this photo was taken are a number of excellent seafood restaurants.

The photo shows some of the fishermen's huts, far from well equipped and certainly showing evidence of the hard work of the local community. The area is marvellous for bird watching and walking - truly unspoilt France.
