Mount Lemmon ... Report 7 to Brigadier Baggins.

I decided to put Finlay's Daddy through his paces and test he's still got the metal for the mission at hand.

This involved a 15 mile cycle up Mount Lemon. The whole route is 27 miles but the main climbing is to had on the first 15. Its an 8 - 10 gradient most of the way! Phewee!!!

I had a grandstand view both of the stunning vistas and Finlay's Daddy huffing and puffing up the hill. Despite my cries of encouragement, all too often we watched as Maj A and our new American friend E, eased away seemingly effortlessly!

Honour was duly restored by taking pictures en route and doing the gentlemanly thing of leading E's wife up to Windy Pass Point where we caught up with Maj A and E.

The downhill run was superb and Finlay's Daddy had to strap me in! Another bonus was that it blew out Finlay's Daddy's ridiculous helmet hair!!

We all enjoyed the post ride treats and I am sure that even with all those muffins inside him, Finlay's Daddy is back on track.

Now I will set to work on the sleep deprivation, so that he is in peak condition for your imminent arrival, sir.
