Snake sashimi

Out for a walk at the shoreline wetlands in Mountain View, California today when we came across this red tailed hawk that had just caught a snake. It killed it then flew up to a treetop where it proceeded to enjoy it for lunch - sashimi-style.

Yes, we do have wildlife in the middle of Silicon Valley :-)
