Knapweed

Some years ago Tony and I were running a small orienteering event on a summer evening on the moor above our house when we spotted this plant growing in profusion. We brought one down to our garden and, once established, it has done very nicely.

We believe it is a kind of knapweed. I'm a sucker for blue and purple plants!
