Poppy Popping

The intention today was to go into town and do some shopping. As it happened the weather was a lot better than forecast so after mowing the lawn and deciding that the front garden needed attention (dead daffs to sort, weeds to clear, edges to be cleared) we binned the hell that is Dundee on a Saturday and opted for a day at home instead.

Garden front and back are now pretty much ship shape after a few hours pottering. We even had time to sit in the sun with a glass of my Saturday favourite, Cava.

So as I have ventured no further than the village shop today, we have the inevitable :-) This is the poppy (Papaver orientale) I blipped a couple of weeks ago, now in full flower.

Time for a takeaway after all that hard work :-)
