let it be dark / light / dark / light

For years I have wanted to put wooden shutters in the Hop Barn and it has finally happened. I'm really pleased with the effect because not only is it pretty dark when they are closed, it's so much lighter when they are open than open curtains were. My joiner was a little bit unhappy with having to make heart shaped holes in them and hoped no one would visit his workshop while he was making them. He tells me his wife would like some too now. So now the bedrooms and bathroom have shutters instead of curtains.
