Grungy Collage

There is an old asphalted area nearby where we live. Part of it is used for guests parking, but the other part have become quite grungy, with weeds growing up through cracks, and abandonned stuff laying around rusting!

In a corner of this area sits an old trailer with a tank, which when in use seem to have carried dangerous flammable fluids according to signs and warning stickers placed all over it! Me and Smilla did a thorough investigation of this vehicle and I came up with a whole lot of pics of its decay! Having trouble to choose (know this?) I decided to try posting a collage! The upper left pic is taken by a broken magazin window also belonging to the area and the other three pics are details from the vehicle.

Read about how "with-it" it is right now with decay. Photo books are published on old abandonned industrial areas and websites are created celabrating grungy beauty! Intersting isn´t it, why now? Maybe we find comfort and beauty in things that has started an retreat back to basic natural states...something we maybe feel we are loosing in our effective hightech stressfulness....?

....yet, this appreciation is not new as you can read about
here!

The collage is also a homage to missing, the blip world master of Grunge!
