Lilies

Lilies are my favourite flower in the world and I found these beauties springing up in my back garden (which we hardly ever use). Sadly it would seem that the greenfly got to them before I did and have nibbled away at some of them but am hoping if I deadhead them, some of them can be salvaged.

I have only just started to notice how many random flowers I seem to have growing in my garden, not being at all green fingered and have started out on a quest to try and identify as many of them as possible and find out if they are pretty flowers or just pesky weeds.

Today has been a rather grey day weather wise and the good old British Bank Holiday weather doesn't seem to be much more hopeful but at least the burst of colour in my garden never fails to delight and, you never know, I may even develop a keen interest in the great outdoors and all things green.
