Athabaskan Girl

A native Athabaskan girs is modeling a ceremonial dress parka. The parka has designs of the flowers that grow in the area where she lives. They are Blue Bells and Forget Me Nots.

This is a village that was built to explain native life and survival in the cold Alaskan winters to Tourists.

Actually, the girl will start college in the Fall at University of Alasks Fairbanks .

This visit was part of a Paddleboat Cruise that included a visit to the Village, a Fish Camp, a Bush Plane demonstration, a Sled Dog Demonstration, and of course a Gift Shop opportunity. We topped off the day with a Salmon Bake.
