IN THE PINK?
These are some of the Albertine roses that scramble along our roadside. There are lots more. The mass of greenery on the left is a fig tree given to us by a neighbour. It produces white figs and wasps. The storm clouds are just visible over the mountain. Perhaps the roses will appreciate the cool weather and the rain but I most certainly do not. My new, semi-telephoto lens is useless. All it sees is a grey smear, so no spying on the neighbours today -- not that I would, mind you. :-)
Am very depressed over the loss of wild life in the Gulf of Mexico and what human greed and avarice does to the planet. I read today that the oil spilled would keep Texas supplied for two minutes. It has been stopped today, at last. Let's hope it holds.
