Kiwiana
This is a "typical" old fashioned caravan, that in the "old days" used to be used by generations of Kiwi holiday makers beside beaches and lakes. Actually they were very romantic in theory and really really small and either boiling hot or freezing cold depending on the ambient outside temperature. If it was cold outside we used to heat them up until you were sweating and so was the caravan, dripping in condensation, and then over night slowly freeze as the heat flew out the sides at an alarming rate and the windows froze over. These days you see them more on kiwi postcards and tourist art than in real life.
I found this while out trying to get a cheerful street scene for a blip, but when I stood on the road taking this picture and it started to hail on me, I gave up further pursuit and this is it!
I liked the shape of the jockey wheel and the overall shape of the caravan as well. I might have to go back now I know where it lives. It is in beautiful condition.
