Moments In May
Morning is a chorus,
Of bird-songs in the air.
Notes so bright and cheery,
Are sounding everywhere
The thicket yields an orchestra,
And spring-time has the key.
For songsters in their chatter,
To blend in harmony.
The black-bird trills his magic,
The swallow tries his wings.
The gull descends from heights above,
The lark has golden strings.
Long before the sun is up,
There is one grand paree.
A grand reunion...I am sure,
Are robins...in an apple-tree.
Oh glorious seasons of the earth,
And a chance to live this day.
Where a few enchanting moments dwell,
For a little while...in May
