A tale of two skulls?
Again today all of the photos I took were work-related. I ran into an interesting problem. I'm trying to get an anatomically correct anterior view of the skull. I shot two photos using different lenses. The one on the left had a focal length of 100 mm, the one on the right was 35 mm. The difference in the teeth, in particular, is quite apparent! I find the one on the right a little more interesting aesthetically, but the one on the left is closer to reality.
These look like two different skulls, but they are just two shots of one specimen. Interesting . . .
Lately I've been very frustrated. Trying to get the lighting right for shooting bones has been quite a challenge. It wouldn't be so bad if I could just create an artistically pleasing photo, but I have to shoot one that makes all the pertinent bony features clearly visible because this will go into a textbook.
Hopefully soon I can post some "fun" photos!
