Monkey Forest

I spent the day in Stoke on Trent with friends at Monkey Forest watching Barbary Macaques roaming around seemingly oblivious to our staring.

So lovely to be able to be near monkeys that are not kept in cages, they were grooming, snoozing, fighting and playing just as they would in the wild.
No pacing up and down like you see in zoo's here.

I had so many wonderful photos to choose just one from for today so it was hard. I decided on this one because of the way the baby monkeys paw looks so much like a human hand, it really pulled at my heart strings.

Animals are just like us. We have to look after them.
