High Tide at Williamstown
It's been a dreary, glum late autumnal day - drizzle and 18% grey most of the day. I was planning a walk around Williamstown (a bayside suburb of Melbourne)and visit a local geographical feature called 'The Lava Blister' (a remnant from volcanic times and make this the subject of today's Blip) that is nestled on the foreshore and visible at the time of Low Tide. I was hoping, to do two shots, one at Low Tide during the daylight (to show the feature in full) and another where the feature is partially submerged though lit by a near full Moon (to induce a surreal effect) - so I hoped!
Checking the Tide Chart before departing, I noticed the High & Low Tides would be at times opposed to what I had in mind. Added to this, low cloud would have blocked the Moonlight needed for the 'surreal' photo attempt.
Conditions would appear more favourable, Tide wise, toward the end of the week, so I'll try again, weather permitting.
So, being stuck Indoors for most of the day (though happily engaged reading a Bryan Peterson book on Photography and drinking probably too many cups of Coffee - can you have too many cups of Coffee), I wondered, what for today's blip?
