On guard

There is something noble about ducks. These two appeared outside my house this morning. We gave them something to eat and tried to get a bit of help for them, but were told that they would be ok. The female was looking to lay her eggs and needed a place to do it, I was trying to get them into our back garden but unfortunatly we have no side entrance.

The male duck, the good looking preeney one was guarding his female partner. I was afraid cats or dogs would get them. They eventually took flight, hope them and their youngsters are alright.
