Wild Garlic
Ramsons (Allium ursinum) (also known as buckrams, wild garlic, broad-leaved garlic, wood garlic, sremu? or bear's garlic) is a wild relative of chives. The Latin name owes to the brown bear's taste for the bulbs and habit of digging up the ground to get at them; they are also a favorite of wild boar.
My cousin kindly gave me some of these from her garden last year and it looks like they have taken to their new home quite well. I have already used some leaved in a salad and they really do have a lovely garlic flavour, just not quite as pungent. They also look quite pretty now that I have cleared the weeds from around them.
