Hawthorn Fruits

are on a scrawny tree related to apples. The flowers in the spring are quaintly pretty and the fruits are enjoyed by wildlife. The crop this year is sparse possibly because there were few bees this spring.

ThePURPLE BERRIES POSTED EARLIER are Pokeberries. They are supposedly toxic but the description then states that they were used to color inferior wine. Probably gave an extra good kick.
