New England Bluet
Today my son and I went on a bird walk sponsored by the South shore Bird Club and led by Jim Sweeney. We birded two different Wildlife Management Areas. The Erwin S. Wilder WMA in Norton and the Burrage Pond WMA in Hanson.
The Wilder portion of the trip had everyone covered by mosquitoes, but there were none at Burrage Pond Area.
Besides numerous birds, there was at Burrage New England Bluet, a damsel fly present. This damsel fly is a specious of special concern for Massachusetts.
So, i chose its picture for todays Journal
