Golden Eagle and Lure
It's been a scorching and beautiful day today, so Fran and I decided to travel down to the Andover Hawk Conservancy Trust, which we both love. We got there in plenty of time for the first flying demonstration of the day so we grabbed a couple of seats and started to make ourselves comfortable, when I noticed an old familiar face out of the corner of my eye: Glenn, an old friend and colleague of mine who has a camera to make me green with envy.
Anyway, the shot. This is a Golden Eagle which is flown in the first display coming in to catch the lure, which you should be able to see in the bottom-right corner. They're remarkably agile birds for something so big!
