SOMETHING NASTY IN THE WOODSHED?

Set out, once again, to photograph a church in the mountains and this time there was a fully charged battery in the camera. Un miracolo! The roads through the hills are lovely at this time of year. Wild flowers bloom along the edges and flowering trees droop over them, the air is blossom scented.

I did take pics of the church. I have to say mountain churches are a dime a dozen. Nobody in the olden days need be in want of spiritual guidance. I liked this one only because of the view across the valley to it. Too bad, my zoom lens just isn't up to it.

This woodshed jumped out at me. I have had a fondness for woodsheds ever since reading Stella Gibbons "Cold Comfort Farm." The official notice leaning against it tells of road and plumbing works to take place but the prices shown are in lire, not in euros, so the sign, itself has some age.

This is the church across the valley. MOUNTAIN CHURCH It's a good scene, very typical of Northern Tuscany. You can see the storm clouds gathering. We made it home just as the thunder started.
