Injured Marilyn

This is my friend Marilyn who broke her wrist while hiking to Wapama Falls in Yosemite National Park yesterday.

It's traditional for my hiking group to share Beary Good Friend with a group member in need of comforting because of some mishap or misfortune, but we didn't bring her with us.

This morning at breakfast Marilyn was presented with a substitute purchased for the occasion (perhaps the cub of Beary).

After breakfast, the group went their separate ways, returning home to the Bay Area. My car took a leisurely route to investigate still more wild flowers and found wonderful displays along Red Hill Road between Chinese Camp and Highway 120.
