After an morale-boosting evening of music, poetry and politics in Bannermans, we walked back up Niddry Street to head for a bus. It probably was the first evening in Edinburgh this year that could be described as balmy, which may have contributed to the large numbers of young persons spilling out on the street from the back of various low dives. Not sure what this particular one is called - it's one or two down from Whistlebinkies. DH suggested "The Brain-Dead 17-year-old". How rude - every last one of them being a paragon of virtue and the apple of some fond parent's eye, I'm sure!
