Hopped on a ferry to the other Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China, Macau. Once a Portuguese colony, it now operates its own legal system, monetary system, police force and other important things, while the central government deals with its foreign affairs and the territory's defence. This is part of the 'One country, two systems' arrangement since it was handed over in 1999.
