Aquilegia

A very quick snap of my favourite flower; the Aquilegia.

This perennial plant comes in a multitude of colours and designs and for me ranks as one of the most beautiful flowers. There is something exotic and almost other worldly about this plant.

This is not a very well composed photograph, but it does show the various stages of the growth of the flower.
