Pride

pride is a tricky one for me, my parents weren't too forthcoming with mentioning how proud they were of me (in fact i can only recall one time when i got my first proper job, aged 21!)

i have tried not to let it get me down as i knew that they were proud of me even though i wasn't mentioned.

you recall i went to see my folks at the beginning of the month? the subject of pride came up, dad was saying how when parents say they are proud of their kids its about the parents feeling good about themselves rather than the achievements of the child and about the parents living their unfulfilled dreams through their kids, i see their point to a certain degree, however, i never want my children to feel that i'm not proud of them and their achievements.

so today's blip is of a certificate given to Jonny for eating his dinner nincely at school!!! it's the little things!!!
