Animal Skull

I went out to the Sooke Potholes Provincial Park to take pictures of the waterfalls and pools today. My plans hit a few snags as there were some new fences blocking off access to the water and the surrounding rocks were slick from recent rains. I wandered around for a while, trying to find inspiration until the heavier rains forced me to give up for the day. On my way back to the city, I passed many farms and rustic houses, one of which had this skull on their fence. It looked very out of place in rural Sooke and its dried out, desiccated state served as an interesting counterpoint to my being chilled and soaked through from the rain.
