Peonies

Gorgeous peonies that our neighbor gave us - actually left us a whole bucketful! One of my favorite flowers and colors!

Long day at work, crazy weather (sheets of rain and hail for about 10 minutes), great evening. Rushed back to Seattle to make it to our local wine shop for a wine tasting (made it with no time to spare). Then made our way home (with 1/2 dozen bottles of rose, whites and reds, all from France) to a lovely veggie shepherd's pie that Jer made. Lots of veggies from our CSA bin (kale, leeks, potatoes, carrots) and a salad made of red leaf lettuce, thinly sliced radishes and fennel (again, all CSA veggies). I love that service and wish we had done it sooner.
