Special Day

Two years ago today I was laying in a hospital bed anxiously awaiting the arrival of our new baby. After being on bed rest for 7 weeks, we were especially anxious to meet the monkey who had been keeping me awake night and day....

Well things haven't changed much since then (the being kept awake part anyway)....Today we are celebrating our son's second birthday. We have had many joyous (and crazy!) times over the last two years, and have learned more than we ever imagined....

He has shown us how much your heart can expand to love every child the same; different, but the same,
He has opened our eyes that things with wheels can change a mood completely,
He has shown us that things that bounce bring the biggest smile to a face,
He has taught us REAL patience, particularly me :)
He has shown us that some people think dirt tastes REALLY good
And he has taught us that balloons can make anything better...

Happy Birthday Mr. C...to many more years of learning, smiles, laughter, and those occasional tears.
