Clootie Well Leg
At the "Clootie Well" on A832 near Munlochy on Black Isle. Once a Holy Well perhaps connected with St Boniface. People used to leave tokens or bits of cloth round the holy spring in order to give thanks or make a wish. Now it seems to be on the tourist trail and the place is covered with small bits of rag with a few jumpers, trainers, socks and so on. When I went past on my way home from Rosemarkie I thought I'd take a general shot of the site (or sight!!) but this leg caught my attention. Just a plaster cast but perhaps someone was thankful enough to get their leg back that they had an urge to make a votive offering to the spirits of the place.
