Our mail comes very early compared to most, but today it came even earlier as the postman actually knocked on the door (instead of just leaving the red card as normal). Why was he so nice? Because he saw that Miss Charlotte had a very big package. Charlotte ran down the steps, not knowing what to expect and when she did open the package - she couldn't contain her excitement! What caused this flurry of excitement? Tickets to the circus? A box of new clothes? No, it was Peter Blake's One Man Show that was signed by Peter Blake when he attended a talk at Travel BookShop in London! Travel Bookshop mention their event and I went about making arrangements to surprise Charlotte with Peter's autograph .. but the people (Saarah in particular) went out of their way by not only 'just' getting an autograph, but getting a book signed to Charlotte.

If you've been reading this blog, you know Charlotte is a massive Pop Art fan and to have Peter Blake sign a book to her was just overwhelming for her. She was jumping up and down and the first thing she said (after the long shocked pause) was 'OhmygodIhavetodothebestthankyounoteever!' (Oh my god, I have to do the best Thank you note ever!)

As Michael had to leave very early to catch a train to Leeds, we sent him some pictures to keep him in the loop.

If that wasn't good enough news, Charlotte was also selected by Scholastic Kids to be a book reviewer after submitting an email and some work to them about a month ago. She found this news out when I picked her up from school.

Other than that, I worked with a group of Year 11 on art in the morning and had Photoshop class at night. And I made my daughter very happy :-)
