Game Day
In my classes this week and last, we have been playing a trivia game to review the whole year with me as their teacher, and to provide some closure as we are approaching the end of our time here in China.
In short, the students LOVE the game. It's called Typhoon, and is a very popular game in the ESL/TEFL community. It's something that primary/junior/senior students all enjoy.
I have 36 random questions and each question is assigned 4 possible point values: 1, 2, 3, or Typhoon. If the team chooses a Typhoon question and gets it right, their opponents teams points are erased!
Here, the loosing team at the ring of the bell are still so excited as it came down to the last few seconds.
Team Fart: 2 points
Team 2: 1 point

(one of the first words I taught them at the beginning of the year was fart, so naturally it was a trivia question. The team that got the question was then renamed Team Fart)
