"There is a way that nature speaks, that land speaks. Most of the time we are simply not patient enough, quiet enough, to pay attention to the story."
~Linda Hogan
Another rather quiet day. Spoke with my folks in the morning, per usual, although the conversation was shorter than normal... I think we're all grieving still, and there are memories of Pepper listening in to those phone conversations each week, especially for my parents.
Worked about five hours and then went home and worked the rest of the night. :) Getting ready to leave for vacation in both places and it's crazy busy. I'm still trying to get everything organized and put away from my last trip, the hospital stay, and shopping. I am making progress, bit by bit, and it helps to have a sense of urgency about the whole thing so I don't leave work and refuse to work when I get home. :)
It rained most of the day, with more rain falling as the night wore on. This is a picture of the rain hitting the parking lot where the streetlamp reflects. I can almost hear it...
