Roe Deer
I went to my favourite hidden lake today to try and get a blip of the Heron which always seems to be there when I arrive. The Heron was in residence but it was on the far side of the lake and too far away for my fairly basic kit. I tried to get closer and sensing I had been rumbled stood stock still. After staying still for a while I caught movement out the corner of my eye, slowly moving towards the lake I saw this Roe Deer. It was on the very path I was standing on. It was oblivious to my presence and carried on along the path. My blip is one of a series of captures as the Roe Deer moved towards me. The Deer finally became aware of me no more than 6 feet away and I do have a capture of the deer with my shadow clearly falling on it. None of the captures of this event show particular merit as I was standing at right angles to the Deer and didn't want to turn and spook it. I did however think it was worth posting something from our meeting as this was (at least for me) an extraordinary experience.
